Chrysler announced Oct. 24 that the 2013-MY Ram 1500 is now shipping out dealerships across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

The delivered vehicles are 2013 Ram 1500 Big Horn editions, the most popular Ram models, according to Chrysler. Depending on the dealer, the vehicles being will be available for test drives and sale starting immediately.

For 2013, the new Ram 1500 achieves 25 mpg, according to the automaker, and includes an eight-speed TorqueFlite 8 transmission, stop-start and active aerodynamics, including grille shutters and air suspension. The truck also includes a newly designed frame, new engines and transmissions and a new interior with the next-generation Uconnect system.

The 2013 Ram 1500 is available in nine trim levels and starts at an MSRP of $23,585 including a $995 destination charge.
