Alabama Bans Texting While Driving

Pike Research Says Battery Electric Vehicles Lowest TCO for Alt-fuel Vehicles

Assuming that the operator is able to claim the $7,500 federal tax credit, a Pike Research study on the total cost of ownership of alternative-fuel vehicles shows that 'mid-size hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric will have a lower TCO over a vehicle lifespan of 120,000 miles, but not at mileage levels that are well under that figure.'

All-New Toyota RAV4 EV Unveiled

<p>The RAV4 EV will go on sale in late summer 2012 through select dealers, initially in four major California metropolitan markets including Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles/Orange County, and San Diego.</p>

The all-electric SUV has an expected driving range rating of approximately 100 miles and charging time of approximately six hours on a 240V/40A charger.
