2 Men Die from Multiple Stab Wounds at Manheim Auction Lot

Two men were stabbed to death at a Hayward, Calif. Manheim car lot on Feb. 2, one inside the cab of his transport truck and the other outside the main gate of the lot, reports InsideBayArea.com.

Hayward police said both victims were stabbed multiple times. Sixty-three-year-old Angelito Erasquin was a security officer at the yard, who was three months shy of retirement. The other victim, 53-year-old James Wightman, was a truck driver from Central Point, Ore. He often made pickups and deliveries at the facility.

According to the news report, Wightman was not scheduled to make a pickup or delivery on the day of his murder; however, Wightman's manager said he often slept at the auction lot.

Police have not elaborate on a motive; however, they have reported to having some strong leads in solving the case.
