Nextraq has partnered with Cellcontrol, a distracted driving technology company, which uses a Bluetooth Trigger Unit coupled with a mobile app that can block or restrict calls, emails, texting and web browsing.

Aegis will offer ZoomSafer’s FleetSafer Mobile and FleetSafer Vision products in addition to the company's Drive Assist software solution. The combined companies will now be called DriveSafer.

Although more companies are taking steps to enforce written cell phone use policies, according to the ZoomSafer study, only 26% of survey respondents felt 'very confident' that current enforcement methods are sufficient to modify driver behavior.
