Mitsubishi Recalls 2,300 MY 2010 Galants

Mitsubishi Motors North America Inc. is recalling about 2,300 MY 2010 Galant vehicles because of a problem with the automatic transmission oil cooler pipe assembly.

On some vehicles, this assembly may have insufficient plating to prevent corrosion. If the pipe eventually develops a hole because of the corrosion, automatic transmission fluid can leak. This creates a fire hazard.

To remedy the problem, dealers will inspect the automatic transmission oil cooler pipe assembly and make any needed replacements. There will be no charge for this service.
