ZoomSafer and Ovation Wireless Help Employers Prevent Distracted Driving

August 19, 2010

ZoomSafer, a provider of software to prevent distracted driving, and Ovation Services Group, a provider of mobile device lifecycle management solutions, have formed a partnership, allowing Ovation to resell ZoomSafer's safe-driving software, FleetSafer, to corporate customers.

Corporations can purchase a single integrated solution to manage procurement, tracking and usage of mobile phones, and ensure the safe, legal and responsible use of those phones by employees while driving.

"More and more businesses are realizing that distracted driving is not just a buzz word, but a real threat to their business, their brand and their employees," said Matt Howard, CEO of ZoomSafer. "FleetSafer complements the existing cell phone management services from Ovation, enabling corporate customers to minimize liability by proactively encouraging employees to use their mobile phones in safe, legal and responsible ways while driving."

"We are excited for the opportunity to integrate FleetSafer with our existing services," said Andy Gordon, president of Ovation Services Group. "FleetSafer is a critical application that enables our customers to prevent employees from texting and emailing while driving, and ensuring hands-free use of phones."

I think Text'nDrive offers a better alternative than the app mentioned in this article for people who insist on checking their emails or text messages when driving. I don't think an email will ever be worth taking someone's life, so an app like this was needed. Plus I think it's really cool that their site has a list of all the texting laws in the U.S. ( Worth taking a look at!
