Kenworth has added an anti-theft system to its T880 that integrates with the vehicle and engine functions of the vocational truck.

When the driver enters the cab and turns on the ignition, the Driver Performance Center prompts the driver to enter a unique passcode to start the truck. The driver must then start the truck's engine within six minutes or the code must be re-entered. If an incorrect code is entered, the anti-theft system disables the truck's engine until the system recognizes the correct code. Passcodes can be changes through any Kenworth dealer's service department.

The system displays the data through a 5-inch, color LCD screen within the dash instrument cluster.
