The VMAC Underhood Lite is a vehicle-mounted air compressor developed for commercial vans from Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Ram.

The Underhood Lite is light and compact enough to be mounted under the hood of a van and run off of the OEM belt line. It doesn’t require a large air receiver tank, and the entire unit weighs 62 pounds.

The compressor can provide 30 cubic feet per minute and up to 150 psi of air. It features simplified controls and has an automatic pressure switch that engages a clutch on the compressor when the system is building air. The clutch disengages when it reaches pressure, meaning the compressor only works when in use.

The compressor was developed for the 3.7-liter Ford Transit, 3.0-liter Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 3.6-liter Ram ProMaster and 6.7-liter Ford Super Duty.
