Cadillac Debuts 2014 ELR Extended-Range EV in Detroit

<p>The 2014-MY Cadillac ELR.</p>

The ELR is based on GM’s Converj concept and integrates GM’s Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology into a Cadillac platform. GM said it plans to begin selling the vehicle in early 2014 in North America.

GM Says Cadillac ATS’ Lighter Weight Improves Fuel Economy, Performance

Weight was reduced in several features and parts on the vehicle, including an aluminum hood, natural fiber door trim panels and an acoustically laminated windshield.
