2008 Chevrolet Malibu Awarded Best Mid-Size Sedan by kbb.com

October 23, 2008

Kelly Blue Book’s kbb.com has awarded the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu as the top mid-size sedan out of six vehicles. It found it to best all-around in its class, with top interior and exterior design, performance, safety and value. In addition, it offers best-in-class fuel economy.

All sedans tested were equipped with standard four-cylinder engines and automatic transmissions. Scoring was based on the following categories: exterior, interior, driving dynamics, active and passive safety, crash ratings and value.

Other vehicles tested were the 2008 Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and the 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Falling in second place was the Honda Accord, followed by the Altima. The Fusion finished last due to its four-star crash ratings in several areas compared to the five-star ratings of its competitors.
