Chrysler released fuel-economy numbers for its new 2013-MY Dodge Dart models, including an upcoming “Aero” model that the automaker said will get “at least” 41 mpg highway.

The 2013-MY Dart will offer three powertrain options, a new 160 hp Tigershark 16-valve 2.0L engine, a 160 hp 16-valve 1.4L MultiAir Intercooled Turbo engine, and a new 184 hp Tigershark 16-valve 2.4L MultiAir 2 four-cylinder engine. The MultiAir 2 engine will be available in the third quarter of 2012.

Transmission choices include a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, or a six-speed dual dry clutch (DDCT) transmission (which will be available in the third quarter of 2012).

The 2.0L Tigershark engine with a six-speed manual transmission gets an EPA fuel economy rating of 25 city, 36 highway, according to Chrysler. The 1.4L engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission gets mpg of 27 city, 39 highway, and Chrysler said the MultiAir 2 will get the aforementioned 41 highway (minimum) mpg and will be included in the “Aero” model of the Dart.
