Audi received two awards for its new piloted parking technology at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show. The automaker received a "Best Automotive Technology" award from media website The Verge and the “Product of the Future” award from Popular Science magazine.

The technology uses a combination of sensors on the vehicle and sensors built into nearby infrastructure to autonomously maneuver the vehicle. Audi said it’s currently in the process of integrating sensor technology into a parking garage in Ingolstadt, Germany, for demonstration purposes.

Audi added that it’s working on a number of different types of driver assistance technologies designed to help the driver maneuver in parking garages and in traffic.
