The University of Michigan’s Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) recently released a short video (shown above) that discusses the growth in availability of diesel vehicles in the U.S. marketplace.

The video mentions the new EcoDiesel option in the upcoming version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The video also discusses the results of a study that UMTRI’s researchers conducted that compares cost-of-ownership of gasoline and diesel models of the same vehicle. UMTRI's assistant research scientist Bruce Belzowski presents the university department's findings.
