NHTSA Opens New Safety Investigation Into Chevrolet Volt Battery Fires - Industry News

WASHINGTON - NHTSA announced a formal investigation into post-crash battery fires in the Chevrolet Volt following testing in mid-November. On Monday, Nov. 28, General Motors issued a response to NHTSA’s announcement, saying that it is launching new customer satisfaction and safety initiatives related to this investigation.
