Nissan's base model 2015 Altima mid-size sedan will carry a retail price of $22,300, which doesn't include an $810 destination fee.

The 2015 Altima, which is now available at Nissan dealers, offers new standard safety and technology equipment on the higher-trim models. The sedan is offered in S, SV, and SL trim levels and two engine choices.

The Altima 2.5 sedan is powered by a 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder that generates 182 horsepower, while the Altima 3.5 is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 that generates 270 hp. Both engines get Nissan's Xtronic CVT.

The Altima is offered in seven models including the 2.5 ($22,300), 2.5 S ($22,560), 2.5 SV ($24,720), 2.5 SL ($28,150), 3.5 S ($26,450), 3.5 SV ($29,830), and 3.5 SL ($31,950).

In 2013, commercial fleets registered 7,681 Altima sedans.
