Fleet buyers who attended two recent stops on the Ram ProMaster City tour in Florida got a first-hand look at Chrysler's new van lineup.

Attendees of events in Miami and the Orlando area earlier this month included commercial fleet representatives, government agencies, fleet management companies, and dealers, a Chrysler spokeswoman said.

The events represented the kickoff of a 13-city tour to bring the new vans to local areas for a closer look. The events began with a 25-minute presentation that covered the ProMaster City, a compact van based on the Fiat Doblo, which is sold in Europe. Attendees then headed to a parking lot where they took a closer look at three ProMaster City and two ProMaster vans. The vans included passenger and cargo variants.

"Attendees had the chance to explore the vehicle and really took the time to open the doors, look inside, and ask detailed questions to our product specialists," said Frank Dankovich, director of fleet sales at Chrysler Group. "They also spent time exploring the ProMaster van as well if their needs require a larger van."

The event also included a driving component, where attendees tested the vehicles on a closed course to attempt acceleration, braking, handling, cornering and backing up with the vehicles.
