Toyota's first Sequoia rolled off the line today to mark the beginning of production for the all new, full-sized sport utility vehicle.

Toyota Motor Corporation President Fujio Cho and Indiasn Governor Frank O'Bannon were the honorary passengers as the Sequoia debuted before more than a thousand Toyota employees who make the new vehicle alongside the Tundra pickup truck.

Toyota currently has the capacity to produce 150,000 Sequoias and Tundras in the U.S. each year, employing some 2,400 people. With the Sequoia joining the Toyota lineup, total production in North America this year will be more than 1.1 million vehicles.
