Saturn SUV Will Be Named 'VUE'

General Motors' Saturn division said on Nov. 30 its new compact sport utility vehicle, to go on sale in the fall of 2001, will be named the Saturn VUE. Saturn will begin promoting the VUE (pronounced "view") this week by sending 50,000 direct mail pieces to people who have expressed interest in the new SUV. The mailing will include a foldout that, when viewed through 3-D glasses, shows the VUE floating out of a nature scene. The VUE will be Saturn's first entry into the SUV segment.
