mUrgent Corp., a wireless data solutions provider, has launched an offering
allowing a typical cell phone to access and manipulate corporate data and systems.
"Companies will use this technology to truly enhance their mobile workforce, as well as create another method of communication for
clients and vendors," said Nathan Fransen, director of business development for mUrgent.
According to Fransen, this type of communication is made possible largely through the messaging system already in place by a majority of cellular providers. He predicts this method will increase in popularity to the point of making it the fastest growing means of
communication available.
The challenge for mUrgent is selling a product that, while extremely popular in Europe, is relatively unknown in the United States. "The
reality is that the United States is not fluent with the messaging capabilities currently available to them," Fransen said. "This means mUrgent must provide necessary education in order to gain market share."
