An automatic fuel cost-control and accounting program is now available to more than 23,000 AAA-affiliated towing and repair companies, the nation's largest motoring organization announced Nov. 7. Under terms of a national agreement between Voyager Fleet Systems Inc. and AAA, road service providers and repair businesses affiliated with AAA will be able to exercise more control over their fleet expenses using the Voyager Fleet Card Program. The new AAA Voyager® fleet card will be accepted at more than 165,000 facilities nationwide and is inclusive of 90 major and regional brands. In 17 states, at approximately 2,200 Speedway, SuperAmerica, Rich Oil and Wilco stations, a one-cent-per-gallon discount off pump prices is available to AAA-affiliated towing and repair providers. The cards also will provide point-of-purchase controls and detailed account summaries to help identify and eliminate unauthorized purchases by employees or other card users. Discounts are available at Speedway, SuperAmerica and Rich Oil locations in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Discounts are available at Wilco locations in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Pennsylvania. "In this era of unstable energy prices and an ever-competitive business environment, AAA is pleased to offer this benefit to our network of service providers in the U.S and Canada," said Marshall L. Doney, vice president of AAA Automotive Services. "The AAA Voyager® Fleet card is another example of why affiliation with AAA continues to attract well-managed businesses." "We are extremely pleased to be a preferred supplier with AAA," said Tim Fortson, Voyager's vice president of national accounts. "The AAA Voyager Fleet card offers an excellent opportunity for AAA Clubs and their affiliates to utilize a fuel card that has acceptance at over 165,000 merchants, provides extensive control and reporting features, and has the ability to provide substantial savings on one of the largest expenses faced by towing companies." The addition of the AAA Voyager® Fleet card brings to 18 the number of business benefit programs now available to AAA-affiliated automotive businesses through participating AAA clubs, according to AAA. Other previously announced programs include discounts on Cintas uniforms and NAPA parts and equipment, rebates on Ford and Jerr-Dan vehicles, negotiated pricing on Tracker tow management software, low rates on items financed through the Network Capital Alliance, national account pricing on Snap-On equipment, specialized insurance and training products. A Web site about the business benefits is currently under development. For more information on the special incentives, AAA affiliates should call their local AAA club representative, according to AAA officials.
