Swedish car brands Volvo and Saab are planning to unveil new SUVs at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Volvo's SUV, the XC90, is slated to go on sale in the fall. Saab will show a preview "concept" vehicle for two SUVs, one smaller and one larger, expected to be ready by 2004. Behind the new vehicles are ambitious campaigns being launched by the parent companies of both manufacturers. Volvo and Saab are now working toward higher U.S. and global sales targets, set for approximately 2005.
