Geeks On Call Selects Dynamic Mobile Data's MobileDispatch Software to Run Business Center

Dynamic Mobile Data Systems, Inc.(DMD) announced Mar. 12 that Geeks On Call America, LLC, a nationwide,on-site support network that brings computersolutions to small businesses and home users, has selectedMobileDispatch software to run their centralized dispatch center.

"Our business concept is to provide our customers with highquality computer services in the form of a mobile business without thetraditional overhead of a retailer," said Walter Ewell, president ofGeeks On Call. Because of this, we knew we needed apowerful dispatch system, with wireless capabilities, that couldmanage job requests on a nationwide level, and we needed it in placequickly. We first met with Dynamic Mobile Data in September of 2001.Within three months, we had a fully functional system in place."

According to the company, using MobileDispatch, Geeks On Call assigns jobs, tracks theirprogress, and provides two-way communications with its franchisees,all in real-time, over the Cingular (a joint venture between SBCCommunications and BellSouth) and the Motient wireless networks. Technicians currently use theResearch In Motion 850, 950, 857, and 957wireless handhelds, with additional mobile devices planned for thefuture.
