General Motors Corp. will not match DaimlerChrysler AG's seven-year, 70,000-mile warranty offer on new vehicles, Chief Executive Officer Rick Wagoner said, according to Bloomberg News. The warranty "is not something we're thinking about right now," Wagoner said during a trip to Milwaukee, where he helped open the first stand-alone Hummer truck dealership. General Motors has improved its quality and unlike some rivals doesn't need longer warranties, he said. "At this point we'll do better by keeping the kind of incentive approach that we've had," Wagoner said.
