Suzuki Pairs Zero Percent Financing, 7-Year/100,000-Mile Warranty

American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) announced July 31 it will startits "Zero, Zero & 7" program -- a zero down payment, zero percentfinancing offer combined with a new 7-year/100,000-mile powertrainlimited warranty effective Aug. 1, 2002. Suzuki claims the "Zero, Zero" finance offer is the best in the industryoffering zero down payment, zero percent financing up to five years onall Suzuki 2002/2003 models. The warranty coverage is seven years or 100,000 miles -- whichevercomes first. Suzuki says its warranty has no deductibles, and is transferable from owner-to-owner, which boosts resaleand trade-in values. "Suzuki provides a smart buy for savvy customers," said AmericanSuzuki president Rick Suzuki. "Some automakers provide good financeoffers and others offer good warranties, but Suzuki offers smartcustomers both a great finance offer and a solid warranty. The bestpart about Suzuki's warranty program is that it's transferable, whichmeans our buyers can enjoy better resale value. This underscores thecorporation's confidence in our vehicles' quality." The new program is offered on all 2002 and 2003 Suzuki models,including the Suzuki XL-7, Grand Vitara and Vitara sport-utilityvehicles, Aerio, Aerio SX and Esteem car models. According to the company, the 7-year/100,000-mile warranty is part of Suzuki's "Open RoadPromise," a new three-tiered program designed to strengthen Suzuki'scustomer satisfaction and bolster consumer confidence in the Suzukiline. Other "Open Road Promise" elements include the 24-hour,365-a-day Roadside Assistance Program and the Warranty Repair CourtesyVehicle Program which provides a courtesy rental vehicle throughEnterprise-Rent-A-Car.
