Accident Prevention Plus Announces New Design to Accelerometer

AccidentPrevention Plus, Inc. announced Aug. 29 that it has developed a newly designed duelaxis accelerometer for use with its On Board Recorder seriesAPP-1000-3000. The accelerometer is used to detect vehicle movement inboth forward and lateral movement of a vehicle. Some of these movements include hard accelerations or decelerations, as well ashard turns, such as an off-ramp on an interstate. Patrick Painter, the company's technical product manager stated,"The new accelerometer is much more accurate than the previous versionand has a much higher sampling rate." Alan Schwartz, president and CEO noted: "This new accelerometerwas designed and manufactured at our home office in Florida. It allowsus to always have product in stock without depending on suppliers'time tables." Accident Prevention Plus, Inc.
