BMW Adds Concierge Services to Telematics Portfolio

November 1, 2002

BMW says it is adding a new service to the BMW Assist portfolio of telematics services. BMW Assist is standard on 7 Series and Z8 vehicles, as well as all other vehicles equipped with both the BMW CPT8000 Integrated Phone and On-board Navigation System. BMW Assist subscribers receive the first year of its around-the-clock location-based safety, security and convenience services at no additional charge. Response specialists are available to help BMW drivers, whether the vehicle automatically calls for assistance following an airbag deployment, or the owner pushes the Assist button in the vehicle to request emergency service or roadside assistance. According to the company, now eligible BMW owners can call upon BMW Assist Concierge. From travel planning to dining reservations, from running errands to household services, from shopping assistance to event tickets - one call to a toll free number gets BMW Assist subscribers the help they need, says BMW."BMW understands that customer loyalty is driven by a variety of factors. While superior customer service is paramount, BMW seeks to give their owners benefits that go the extra mile --- that add value to their everyday lives," says Hans Duenzl, BMW vice president of Aftersales and Engineering. "By working with Circles to expand BMW Assist services, we are building stronger relationships with our owners and increasing owner loyalty." Circles, a provider of loyalty management solutions located in Boston, Massachusetts, provides the new concierge service for BMW.BMW Group In AmericaBMW of North America has been present in the United States since 1975.
