Navigation Technologies Welcomes New Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Navigation Technologies, a provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation, Internet/wirelessapplications and business solutions announced the appointment of DavidMullen as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Mullen will bebased in the company's Chicago headquarters and will report to President andChief Executive Officer, Judson Green. "Navigation Technologies' will tap Dave's considerable experience in theexternal marketplace to help the company position itself appropriately in theyears ahead," said Green. "Dave will serve as an important advisor to me andour senior management team, bringing more than two decades of experience inthe technology, healthcare and financial services industries." Mullen's extensive experience includes several chief financial officerposts leading acquisitions, private financing initiatives and initial publicofferings. He joins Navigation Technologies most recently from AllscriptsHealthcare Solutions, Inc, where he was chief financial officer. AtAllscripts, Mullen helped lead private financing initiatives, orchestrated twopublic offerings that raised over $200 million, and completed six acquisitionsfor the $70 million publicly held provider of point-of-care decision supportsoftware for physicians. Prior to joining Allscripts, Mullen was CFO at Enterprise Systems, Inc., apublicly held company that developed and marketed software applications forhealthcare providers. While at Enterprise, he led a team in the acquisition ofEnterprise's largest competitor. Mullen also held numerous positions including president and COO at CCCInformation Services, Inc., a public company that provides computerizedinformation services to the claims departments of every major automobileinsurer in the United States and four Canadian provinces. Mullen began his career at Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young),where he spent a number of years in the audit and systems consultingpractices. Mullen holds a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University and an MBA fromthe Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed theProfessional Accounting Program at Northwestern University and is a CertifiedPublic Accountant. About Navigation Technologies
