Workhorse Custom Chassis has announced that it has continued to grow the capabilities of its service network, including its parts service, to support the use of its chassis and walk-in trucks. As of this date, Workhorse says it has nearly 500 certified customer care service centers located across the United States and Canada. "We are constantly evaluating our service capabilities," said Charles Christy, national service manager for Workhorse. "That includes such things as upgrading our parts operation and weeding out poorly performing service centers. We also continue to add service centers at a steady pace so that walk-in users will have excellent options no matter where they are." According to the company, all new Workhorse walk-in truck owners receive free emergency Workhorse Roadside Assistance for the length of the chassis warranty period. Workhorse says it has also upgraded the capabilities of its parts department over the past year with the acquisition of a new parts distribution operation. Workhorse used this acquisition to replace the previous third-party vendor with an in-house operation. According to Workhorse, it also supports its service centers with ongoing technician training. This includes on-site technician courses at specific locations around the country as well as satellite training courses. Workhorse courses can be received via satellite transmission directly at service centers. "We do everything we can to make such training convenient and affordable. We want our customers to be in good hands no matter where they go," said Christy. "They¹ve made it very easy to order parts by phone or fax, and then they call to verify the order," said Jeff Bosse, service manager at Tom Naquin Chevrolet, Nissan, Olds, Cadillac in Elkhart, Ind. "Recently Workhorse has made several significant changes, making the process even easier. Their service support improvements have added value to the Workhorse product and service we can provide our customers." "We pride ourselves on being responsive," said Christy. "We have built a nationwide sales and service team whose mission is to stay in touch with customer concerns. We want to take walk-in service to a whole new level."
