Tele Atlas North America Opens Detroit Office

Tele Atlas North America, the U.S. arm of the digital mapping company Tele Atlas NV, and provider of digital map databases and real-time traffic information for North America, has announced the opening of its Detroit office and the addition of Jonathon B. Husby, senior sales manager for navigation. Husby will work out of Tele Atlas's new offices in the Town Center in Southfield, Mich., and will be responsible for leading the company's Detroit-area operations. "Establishing our Detroit office further signifies our commitment to serving our customers and partners in North America's automotive capital," said George Fink, president and COO of Tele Atlas. "We are thrilled to have Jonathon on board to lead the company's business development efforts in the Detroit area. His experience directly related to OEM manufacturing and navigation and telematics is an ideal match for us." Husby brings nearly a decade of sales and managerial experience to Tele Atlas North America from DENSO Corporation. Prior to joining Tele Atlas, he was sales manager for the Thermal Section and Electronics Section of DENSO's General Motors Sales Group. At DENSO, he was responsible for expanding sales of electronics products, including navigation systems, to General Motors and worked extensively with General Motors to introduce new products and technology. He also expanded partnerships with Delphi, Guide and Yazaki, and worked with OEMs and content providers to deliver telematics solutions.
