PHH Arval's online vehicle selection tools - the Vehicle Analyzer, FleetSpecsSM, and Fleet Perspective - are going "green" with the 2004 model year, according to the company. The company says these tools, found on PHH InterActive and used by thousands of clients to find the most suitable vehicles for their fleets, will feature the ability to easily analyze which cars or light trucks, including hybrid vehicles, are most environmentally friendly. In order to provide this information to its clients, PHH says it will use rankings created by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). ACEEE, an independent non-profit research group, publishes ACEEE's Green Book: The Environmental Guide to Cars & Trucks. The company says the information on PHH's website will integrate ACEEE's information with the unique needs of fleets, including specifications, pricing, and projected operating costs. With just a few clicks of a mouse, fleet managers will be able to identify and compare the greenest choices in a wide range of vehicle types, including over 180 models. The information will include the ACEEE's "Green Score" ratings on each vehicle, plus the rankings for environmentally friendly vehicles in each class. According to George Kilroy, president of PHH, "PHH believes in providing practical help to fleet managers whose companies need and want to reduce their fleets' environmental impact, as well as their fuel costs. Our online vehicle selector tools are incredibly easy to use and will take the guesswork out of identifying which models are friendlier to the environment. This is just one of a number of exciting and innovative initiatives we will be introducing in the environmental arena this year." About ACEEE
