PHH To Enhance Vehicle Selection Tools

April 22, 2003

PHH Arval's online vehicleselection tools - the Vehicle Analyzer, FleetSpecsSM, and Fleet Perspective- are going "green" with the 2004 model year, according to the company. The company says these tools, found on PHHInterActive and used by thousands of clients to find the most suitablevehicles for their fleets, will feature the ability to easily analyze whichcars or light trucks, including hybrid vehicles, are most environmentallyfriendly. In order to provide this information to its clients, PHH says it will use rankings created by the American Council for an Energy-EfficientEconomy (ACEEE). ACEEE, an independent non-profit research group, publishesACEEE's Green Book: The Environmental Guide to Cars & Trucks. The company says the information on PHH's website will integrateACEEE's information with the unique needs of fleets, includingspecifications, pricing, and projected operating costs. With just a fewclicks of a mouse, fleet managers will be able to identify and compare thegreenest choices in a wide range of vehicle types, including over 180models. The information will include the ACEEE's "Green Score" ratings oneach vehicle, plus the rankings for environmentally friendly vehicles ineach class. According to George Kilroy, president of PHH, "PHH believes in providingpractical help to fleet managers whose companies need and want to reducetheir fleets' environmental impact, as well as their fuel costs. Our onlinevehicle selector tools are incredibly easy to use and will take theguesswork out of identifying which models are friendlier to the environment. This is just one of a number of exciting and innovative initiatives we willbe introducing in the environmental arena this year."About ACEEE
