Goodyear, a supplier of commercial truck tires, and AmeriQuest(R) Transportation and Logistics Resources Corp., a provider of services to the fleet management industry, have teamed up to bolster the product and service offering to the thousands of users of FleetXchange. FleetXchange, which is operated by AmeriQuest, provides supermarket wholesalers and retailers with a web-based system that amalgamates purchases, automates the ordering process and offers logistical support. Goodyear says it will now offer rebates on Goodyear brand medium commercial truck tires and Nextred retreads. Products like the new G395 LHS line haul-steer tire will be eligible for rebates when purchased by FleetXchange members through authorized Goodyear commercial outlets. "The small to mid-sized fleet is a critical market for Goodyear, and is one that we have always supported. The relationship with AmeriQuest helps us to improve our working relationship with this important segment of the market," said Dave Beasley, director of sales and marketing, Commercial Tire Systems, Goodyear. The joint program will target FleetXchange members with less than 100 power units. "The combination of the high quality of Goodyear's products and the new rebate program creates added value to users of FleetXchange, and delivering value is what we are all about," said Doug Clark, president & CEO of AmeriQuest. "The new program will also serve to bolster the relationship Goodyear and its dealer network have with a growing part of the transportation industry, which will help all partners grow more profitably."
