DaimlerChrysler Corp. says it will begin offering"preferred" new-vehicle pricing to employees of Chrysler Group suppliers,beginning in August 2003.The program, the DaimlerChrysler Affiliate Rewards Supplier Program, givesthe U.S. employees of Chrysler Group suppliers and their subsidiaries theopportunity to purchase or lease Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles at onepercent below factory invoice, says the company."We recognize the key role our suppliers play in the Chrysler Group'ssuccess," said Thomas W. Sidlik, DaimlerChrysler Corp. executive vicepresident - Procurement and Supply and member of the Board of Management."We also respect the pride they have in their contributions, and want toencourage an affinity for our products."The "preferred" pricing may be combined with most consumer incentivesavailable at the time of sale for even greater savings. Eligible employeesand their spouses may purchase or lease up to two vehicles per calendaryear."The timing of the DaimlerChrysler Affiliate Rewards Supplier Program isideal," said Larry Whitefield, Affinity Programs manager.
