DriveCam Video Systems, a developer of fleet safety technology, announced the appointment of Del Lisk as vice president of fleet safety services. Lisk will be responsible for developing safety policy and procedures and overseeing implementation and training for DriveCam's fleet customers. His duties will include administering the DriveCam Protected Certification Program and directing the DriveCam Academy. For the past 21 years, Lisk has been with Smith System Driver Improvement, a leader in fleet driver training. He served as president of that organization from 1997 to Spring 2003. During his tenure with Smith System, he developed many fleet safety programs and personally delivered training to over 10,000 fleet drivers. "Having worked directly with large commercial fleets to improve their safety ratings, I recognize the value of the Driving Feedback System," said Lisk. "I am looking forward to working with DriveCam’s customers to help them reap the benefits in reduced collisions and lower insurance losses, while making it safer for their drivers." Lisk will be responsible for the DriveCam Protected Certification Program, which was developed in conjunction with DriveCam’s insurance partners to establish eligibility requirements for premium credits. Under the program, fleets are required to demonstrate that they have properly integrated the DriveCam Driving Feedback System into their fleet operations and driver performance evaluation standards. "We are privileged to add someone of Del’s stature to our growing team," said Ed Andrew, president of DriveCam. "His reputation and experience are unparalleled and will help us better serve our customers, especially larger fleets, to integrate our fleet safety program into their operations and achieve the highest return on their investment in DriveCam."
