Tele Atlas Signs Agreement With iBiquity Digital

Tele Atlas and iBiquity Digital Corp. have signed an agreement that will help enable motorists around the country to access real-time traffic information. Through digital HD Radio(TM) technology, motorists can hear about accidents, road construction, and other traffic happenings.

Broadcasters using HD Radio technology can provide travelers with accurate traffic data in order to help them avoid frustrating delays, according to iBiquity Digital's Jeffrey Jury. HD Radio technology provides improved audio quality and reception. According to Tele Atlas, there is a high level of interest in traffic alert services that offer up-to-the-minute data.
