XM Satellite Introduces XM NavTraffic for Aftermarket Navigation Systems

January 12, 2005

XM Satellite Radio is scheduled to launch XM NavTraffic, the nation's first satellite traffic data service aimed at aftermarket navigation systems, this year. The service will deliver up-to-date traffic information to the vehicle navigation system.

XM NavTraffic can display local traffic information and suggest alternate routes based on current traffic conditions. XM NavTraffic can be installed in any vehicle incorporating aftermarket navigation systems.

XM NavTraffic is powered by NAVTEQ and is available for 20 major cities in the U.S.
