Fleet management provider PHH Arval has announced the introduction of a new Web-based motor vehicle records (MVR) application, according to a statement from the company last week. PHH clients who wish to request motor vehicle records for their current and prospective employees now have a completely paperless way to submit requests. The online MVR application, called PHH InterActive, is available for all U.S. states and Canadian provinces, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands. The online MVR system allows clients to request individual, annual, bulk, or accident-related MVR checks online. It sends emails to drivers, who can respond to MVR requests via PHH InterActive for Drivers. PHH says this has already resulted in a 25 percent increase in drivers returning their release forms on the first request. The system also allows managers to obtain forms online, and enables MVR results to be viewed online where permitted by law. Managers can also get status reports on their MVR requests via email or online.
