In some parts of the country, the average auto insurance premium quotes may have fallen by as much as 10 percent in the last six months, according to insurance.com. The first half of 2005, the average consumer saw annual insurance quotes drop $43, or 1.8 percent, from the 2004 average premium. The decrease reflects an even greater change when considering that the 2004 pricing report saw a 6 percent increase from the year before. However, where you live makes a difference. Though the national average decreased, prices swelled in more than 30 states.
