October 25, 2006 has named the 2007 Toyota Tundra as its Most Significant Vehicle of the Year. This award is given annually to a vehicle that, according to the editors at, significantly changes the rules of a given segment, creates a new niche or redefines an automaker's image. Runners-up were the 2007 Mazda CX-7, 2007 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Past "Most Significant" award winners include the 2006 Pontiac Solstice, 2005 Chrysler 300, 2004 Nissan Titan, 2003 Nissan 350Z, 2002 Mini Cooper, 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser and 2000 Honda Insight. also announced the winners of its ninth annual "Editors' Most Wanted" vehicle awards.
