The 2007 World Car of the Year Awards have released their top three finalists for the categories of World Car, Performance Car, Green Car, and Car Design. The cars for the award program are selected and voted on by an international jury panel comprised of 44 top-level automotive journalists from 22 countries around the world. The World Car Steering Committee appoints jurors on a basis of expertise and experience, and jurors typically drive and evaluate new vehicles on a regular basis as part of their profession. The top three finalists for the 2007 World Car of the Year Award are the Audi TT, Lexus LS460, and the MINI. The top three finalists for the World Performance Car are the Audi RS4, the BMW 335i, and the Porsche 911 Turbo.
