Chicago was the site of Auto Driveaway’s 2007 annual convention, an event held to review and establish goals for the upcoming year. A total of 35 of Auto Driveaway’s agent-owners were in attendance. Highlights included a tour of the new corporate headquarters, located in Chicago’s Loop, previewing a newly developed company Web site that will involve customer interaction, as well as the introduction of Rodney Ruth as the new president and Jim Leddy as vice president. Ruth had originally joined the company in 2007 as general manager. It was a move highly endorsed by the various agent-owners throughout the country. Ruth committed to providing the type of leadership that will continue to help Auto Driveaway provide the level of consistent service and communication for which Auto Driveaway has been known over the past 55 years. Leddy joined the Auto Driveaway organization in June of 2006 as national sales director. While sales will continue as his primary responsibility, Leddy is also spearheading a new online customer module which will allow corporate customers to directly place vehicle movement orders online and monitor the vehicle movement on a daily basis.
