Chevrolet Boosts Cruze Fuel Economy for MY-2012

DETROIT – Chevrolet announced its 2012-MY Chevrolet Cruze models with the 1.4L turbo and six-speed automatic transmission will get 2 mpg better than the current model-year. The Chevrolet Cruze Eco will get 39 mpg highway, compared with 37 mpg highway for the current model-year. The standard 2012-MY Chevrolet Cruze will get 38 mpg highway compared with 36 mpg for the current model-year.
The Cruze Eco with the standard six-speed manual transmission will get an EPA-rated 42 mpg on the highway, Chevrolet stated.
Also for the 2012-MY Cruze models, Chevrolet said a feature package containing Bluetooth phone connectivity, USB port, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped shift knob will be standard. These features were part of the $525 Connectivity Plus Cruise option package on 2011 models.
