VINSCAN App Provides Vehicle Information to Users
FDP Virginia Inc. launched the VINSCAN barcode scanner app for Android and iPhones that provides accurate vehicle information to users at any time, according to the company’s Aug. 15 announcement.
After customers scan the VIN barcode, they gain access to more than 40 fields of information on a vehicle, including year, make, model, engine, body type, weight, horse power, towing capacity, along with the factory warranty information and manufacturer recalls.
VINSCAN provides information to help verify scheduled maintenance, vehicle specifications and replacement parts.
Up to 100 vehicles can be stored and viewed on the app.
VINSCAN costs 10 cents for each VIN scanned. The app and 20 scans can be downloaded for $1.99.
