AVL Information Systems, Ltd. and "I-TRACK," Inc. (www.whereismycar.com), AVL's Exclusive World Wide Distributor, announced December 6th that it has received three purchase orders from three newly signed Chaperone Distributors.

VISIONWireless, a division of Beaumont Sound of Beaumont, Texas, New Scope Marketing of Everett, Washington and Sistemas Satellitas of Mexico City, Mexico represent the companies involved in these orders.

Wireless network solutions will be provided by Cellemetry, a subsidiary of Numerex Corp. "Thanks to the aggressive expansion of Numerex/Cellemetry networks into both North and South America, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, we have seen overwhelming market acceptance of our personal asset tracking device," said AVL Vice President, Gary Ryan. According to Numerex, their Cellemetry group provides one of the largest and most comprehensive networks in the world, and will allow seamless coverage for the Chaperone tracking system.

"I-Track," Inc. management is presently negotiating with three manufacturing concerns to mass produce the Chaperone unit and expects to select a manufacturer this week. This manufacturer will build the first Chaperone production run over the coming weeks. "The advantage of producing our units in these kinds of quantities is obvious, it will reduce our costs dramatically and position 'I-Track' most competitively to capture significant market share in the growing telematics GPS market," states Barbara Castanon, "I-Track's" president.

"We considered a number of other AVL Satellite tracking solutions, but chose Chaperone because of its reliability, quality and price point. Chaperone is well positioned to gain wide market acceptance in a short period of time," states Jack Brothers, director of new business development for VISIONWireless.

Sistemas Satellitas President Victor Presichi states, "Latin America, South America and the Caribbean offer excellent opportunities for our Chaperone, based on the high incidents of auto theft and car jacking situations. The insurance industry in these countries is extremely supportive of asset tracking and the reduction of risk associated with its application."

New Scope Marketing President Bradley Snyder says, "Chaperone GPS tracking devices are both a commercial and personal 'must have' device these days. We are seeing Pacific Northwest businesses moving rapidly toward deployment of such devices and we feel the Chaperone is one of the best fits for the industry."

According to AVL, the ability of "Chaperone" to benefit customers in all of North America is directly related to the communication network and coverage area offered through Numerex by its subsidiary, Cellemetry.
