Wireless Matrix Corporation announced Feb. 27 at DistribuTech 2002, the availability of Dynamic Mobile Data’s (DMD’s) MobileDispatch suite of products and services with the Mobile Base Station (MBS).

Available on multiple windows-based platforms, including CE devices, MobileDispatch uses the Internet to provide companies with a full-featured dispatch application, which includes real-time, two-way messaging, job status tracking, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL). In addition to the Wireless Matrix Mobile Base Station and the DMD MobileDispatch service, all a customer needs is an Internet connection for dispatcher workstations, according to the company.

Mobile employees can communicate with the enterprise from their point of work. Providing the dispatch software of choice for companies such as Airborne Freight, Dynamic Mobile Data serves companies of all sizes in the pick up and delivery, transportation, field sales and service, and utilities markets. According to DMD, they have found the major drivers for location-based services in these markets to be 1) increasing mobile worker productivity, 2) cost cutting through the automation of existing processes, and 3) building competitive advantage through the ability to service more customers on a more timely basis.

"Our partnership with Wireless Matrix enables us to provide 100% availability of our services, no matter where our customers or their mobile employees are located," said Chuck Feldman, president and CEO of Dynamic Mobile Data. "This unique combination of network reliability and powerful, easy-to-use software makes this the ultimate tool for companies who choose to manage their fleets profitably."

"Combining Mobile Dispatch with the Mobile Base Station offers our customers a fully integrated turnkey solution that is ready out of the box," said John Herring president and CEO of Wireless Matrix. "Dynamic Mobile Data’s ability to rapidly deploy an end-to-end solution employing all the benefits of our Wide Area Wireless capabilities has tremendous value to fleets of all sizes."
