AMP Electric Vehicles (AMPD), an electric drive motor vehicle manufacturer, announced Feb. 26 that its all-electric E-100 medium-duty truck has been approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) as a zero-emission vehicle and is eligible for sale in California for the 2014 model year.

Steve Burns, CEO of AMP Electric Vehicles Inc. said, "We are extremely pleased that our AMP E-100 truck and its battery-electric power train has been approved by CARB and can be sold in California. We believe this is a major milestone towards bringing our E-100 truck to market in the state that leads the country in the adoption of zero-emission and low-emission vehicles."

"The AMP E-100 is capable of carrying 19,500 lbs. when fully loaded and attains a range of 100 miles on a full battery charge. Designed especially for the package delivery market, the E-100 sets a new standard in cost efficiency and performance for fleet operators," added Martin Rucidlo, AMP president.
