Making a return to the North American marketplace, the all-new 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage 5-door sub-compact has a starting MSRP of $12,995.

With an EPA fuel economy rating of 40 mpg combined/37 mpg city/44 mpg highway, the 2014 Mirage is an affordable and stylish hatchback with fuel efficiency, says Mitsubishi.

According to Mitsubishi, some additional features include tilt steering, automatic climate control, power side mirrors, a 60/40 split folding rear seat and keyless entry with panic alarm.

Standard safety features include a seven air bag Supplemental Restraint System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist.

For only $1,200 more than the standard model, the upmarket Mirage ES model features all of the content on the DE while adding extras including 14-in. aluminum alloy wheels, front fog lamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, One-Touch Start/Stop (OSS) engine switch and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

Powering the Mirage is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder DOHC engine that features the latest version of Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) variable valve-timing system, says Mitsubishi. This engine produces 74 brake horsepower (bhp) and 74 lb.-ft. of torque.
