When equipped with a V-6 engine and optional all-wheel drive, the 2015 Chrysler 200 mid-size sedan will get 18 miles per gallon in city driving and 29 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA.

The initial ratings come for the vehicle with a 3.6L V-6, nine-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. The Chrysler 200 sedan's all-wheel-drive system is "the first to deliver an automatic fully disconnecting rear axle, improving fuel economy by reducing parasitic loss when all-wheel drive is not needed," the automaker said in a Saturday release.

The EPA has not released fuel economy ratings for the front-wheel drive version, which Chrysler has said will deliver 35 mpg highway when powered by its 2.4L four-cylinder engine and four-speed automatic transmission.
