Volkswagen will debut its refreshed 2015 Jetta compact car that includes the automaker's next-gen diesel engine and a few other minor updates at the New York International Auto Show.

The 2015 Jetta gets the 2.0L four-cylinder TDI EA288 engine announced in March that offers improved fuel economy and slight bump in performance. The engine is expected to give 45 miles per gallon highway, as well as 150 horsepower and 236 lb.-ft. of torque, according to the automaker.

Volkswagen sold 925,000 Jetta sedans around the globe in 2013. It's the automaker's top-selling vehicle.

In 2012, commercial fleets registered 1,380 Jetta sedans. Rental fleets registered 24,273 vehicles.
