A private equity consortium has acquired 80 percent of Africa's largest privately-owned parcel distribution company RTT, according to a report by www.bdlive.co.za.

The consortium, led by South Africa's Ethos Private Equity confirmed that about a total of Rand 8 billion had been raised in its sixth fund. The full amount of the transaction has not been confirmed according to the bdlive report.

Other key stakeholders in the consortium are African Development Partners II and the Public Investment Corporation.
