General Motors saw its fleet sales rise 6 percent in October compared to October of 2013, as the company continues to see increases in sales to commercial and government fleets.
GM posted a 30-percent gain in sales to commercial fleets, as well as a 30 percent gain in sales to government vehicle buyers. Sales to rental customers fell 6 percent.
The increase in sales to commercial and government buyers was driven by small cars, compact SUVs, and large pickups, GM said in a release. GM saw an 81 percent increase in sales of pickup trucks to government fleets.
